Special Exhibition

Apart from the permanent exhibitions in the Galleries and other Displays for visitors, the Sangrahalaya maintains a stock of Special Exhibitions on specific subjects, related to Mahatma Gandhi and Indian Freedom Movement. Every year new exhibitions are being added to the stock. These are lent free of cost (except for transport charges) to the Gandhian and educational institutions on request. Exhibitions on specific subjects, with photographs and write-ups, are also prepared, to order for supply.

1. Three Great Personalities in Photographs ? Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, Mahatma Gandhi & Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose (Bilingual ? Bengali & English) In this exhibition the lives of three great personalities of all times not only in the history of India but in the history of the World, has been depicted by means of photographs. In the history of the entire human civilization, the contributions of Rabindranath Tagore and Mahatma Gandhi are immortal and eternal. In terms of patriotism Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is on of the bravest and most revered sons of our Motherland. 2. Satyagraha Movements lead by Gandhiji in India (Bengali) In this exhibition the various Satyagraha Movements, lead by Mahatma Gandhi in Indian after returning from South Africa, were exhibited. The exhibitions panels highlight the history of Champaran Satyagraha in Bihar, Ahmedabad & Kheda Satyagraha in Gujarat, Non-cooperation Movement, Bardoli Satyagraha in Gujarat, Salt Satyagraha and Quite India Movement through various photographs and wirte-ups. 33 8 Satyagraha Movements lead by Gandhiji in India
3. India of My Dreams (Bilingual ? Bengali & English) In photographs and write-ups, a short glimpse of Mahatma Gandhi?s ideas on communal structures for building up the reconstruction of ideal village in his dreamed India, has been presented in this exhibition to bring before the present generation that historical episode. 65 21 India of My Dreams
