The Allahabad Museum, Prayagraj organized a three-day National seminar on ‘Museum for 2047: Envisioning the Indian Museums’ from September 20 - September 22, 2024 at Allahabad Museum.
A District level Philatelic Exhibition was organized by the Barrackpore Head Post Office at their premises on 6 August, 2024. The organizer had requested to Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya to display the exhibition on the commemorative stamps on Mahatma Gandhi.

Sabarmati Ashram Preservation Ashram and Memorial Trust (SAPAMT), Ahmedabad called for a meeting in its premises on February 21, 2024 to update and present the approach being taken to develop the Sabarmati Ashram precinct.
Raja Rammohun Roy Memorial Museum, Kolkata organized a day-long seminar on 'Perspectives for the Development of Raja Rammohun Roy Memorial Museum' on February 18, 2024 at the premises of the museum. Dr. Pratik Ghosh, Director-Secretary of Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Barrackpore was invited by the authority of Rammohun Roy Memorial Museum as a speaker to deliver his views about enlarging, supplementing, reorganizing the display and related field initiatives of that museum.
Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya participated in 47th International Kolkata Book Fair, 2024. The Sangrahalaya presented a special exhibition on 'Mahatma Gandhi - The Millenium Man in Stamps: the Courier of Truth and Non-violence', which was composed of almost 100 postal Stamps,
Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya, Barrackpore observed the Students' Week from January 2 to 8, 2024. In this connection the authority of the college invited the Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Barrackpore to present a documentary show on the Biography of Mahatma Gandhi and to conduct a quiz programme on life and activities of Gandhiji for the students of their college on January 4, 2024.
Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Barrackpore participated in the Kolkata District Book Fair 2023 at Bidhan Sishu Udyan, Ultadanga, Kolkata, held from December 17 to December 24, 2023. The Sangrahalaya presented various photographs of Gandhiji in its stall.
To celebrate the inaugural ceremony of 'Gandhi Vatika' – a unified Museum in memory of our Father of the Nation – Mahatma Gandhi, the Government of Rajsthan invited the representatives of various Gandhian Institutions of the country. It was indeed a privilege for Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Barrackpore to be present on the occasion of inauguration of this museum at Jaipur in Rajasthan.
The Head Post Office of Barrackpore organized an Exhibition on 'Partition of India' at their premises on September 11, 2023 to celebrate the 'Partition Horrors Remembers Day'. The authority of Barrackpore Head Post Office invited the Director-Secretary of Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya to inaugurate this Special Exhibition.

As a representative of Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya Barrackpore the
Director-Secretary of the Sangrahalaya attended a meeting on the proposed project regarding the
restoration and augmentation of the Sabarmati Ashram precinct, organized by the the Sabarmati Ashram
Preservation and Memorial Trust on July 2 and 3, 2022 at the Ashram's
premises in Ahmedabad.
The Directors and Secretaries of other Gandhi Museums throughout the country, such as National Gandhi
Museum, New Delhi, Mani Bhawan Mumbai, Gandhi Memorial Museum, Madurai, Sevgram Ashram and such other
Gandhian Institutions were also attended the two days' meeting and suggested their valuable opinions
regarding the restoration and augmentation of Sabarmati Ashram in the meeting.
ICOM International Committee for Museum Management (INTERCOM) in collaboration with Foundation Typa, Argentina organized an Online Governance and Museology Discussion Forum, which was designed for the South Asia Museum Directors Forum on Governance, Funding and Museology on February 22, 2023.
Along with this many valuable books written by and on Mahatma Gandhi and also on the History of Independence and Biographies of great Personalities and other mementos like Charkha, etc. were kept in the stall.
Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis Memorial Museum & Archives (PCMMMA) under Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) organized a seminar on the "Restoration of Museum Building: Issues and Challenges” on 16 March 2023 at ISI Campus. The Director-Secretary of Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Barrackpore was invited as a Guest Speaker to deliver a lecture in the Seminar.
To mark the occasion of 75th year of Gandhi Seva Sangha, located at Laketown, a 3 days' programme had been organized by this organization in collaboration with Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya Barrackpore at the auditorium of Gandhi Seva Sangha from January 8 to January 10, 2023.
Programme & Activities in the Financial Year of 2021-2022
All India Gandhi Museums Forum Meeting was held on March 28, 2022 in a hybrid mode (both offline and online) and it was organized by the National Gandhi Museum, New Delhi. The Office Bearers of all the seven national recognized Gandhi Museums throughout the country attended the Meeting. Shri A. Annamalai, Director of National Gandhi Museum presided over the meeting. Dr Atul Pandya, Director of Sabarmati Ashram Gandhi Museum and Shri Virat Kothari of Gandhi Heritage Portal of Sabarmati Ashram, Ahmedabad; Dr. Viva Gupta, Secretary of Magan Sangrahalaya, Wardha; Shri Nandarao, Secretary of Gandhi Memorial Museum, Madurai; Shri Sajeev Rajan, Office Bearer, Mani Bhawan Gandhi Sangrahalaya, Mumbai; Shri Asif Wasi, Director of Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Patna and Dr. Pratik Ghosh, Director-Secretary of Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Barrackpore were present in the meeting to represent their museums. All the representatives of Gandhi museums discussed about their plan of activities, new initiatives, extension services, etc. during the meeting.
Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Barrackpore participated in the 45th International Kolkata Book Fair by holding a Stall from February 28 to March 13, 2022 at Central Park, Saltlake, Kolkata. A Special Exhibition on 'India towards Freedom' was presented in the stall through various rare photographs and write-ups related to the history of Indian Independence. The great contribution of Women in our Freedom Movement was also depicted through this exhibition. A Special Photo Album composed of 100 photographs on life and activities of Mahatma Gandhi had been also displayed in the stall.
On the Occasion of the 74th death Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Mahatma Gandhi Smarak Sadan, Dhaka, Bangladesh organized a webinar on ‘Development and Environment in the views of Mahatma Gandhi’ on January 30, 2022. Atiur Rahaman, former Governor of Bangladesh Bank presided over the Webinar. Dr. Debapriya Bhattacharya an Economist and Policy Analyst was present as the chief Guest and Dr. Pratik Ghosh, Director-Secretary of Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Barrackpore was present as a Special Guest. They delivered their valuable speeches regarding the topic of the webinar.
Digital Media Association in North 24 Parganas district organized the Annual Convocation at Loksanskriti Bhawan, Halisahar on December 16, 2021. The Director-Secretary of the Sangrahalaya was invited by the Organizer as Special Guest at the inaugural ceremony of the programme. The Chairman of Halisahar Municipality and Kanchrapara Municipality along with other distinguished guests were also present to grace the inaugural programme.
Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Barrackpore participated in an Exhibition on 'Cluster of Museums' on the occasion of 'World Heritage Week - 2021, which was organized by Paschimbanga Sangrahalaya Samiti in collaboration with Kolkata Centre for Creativity (KCC) from November 19 to November 25, 2021 at the premises of KCC. The theme of the exhibition was “The Future of Museums: Recover and Reimagine”.

delivered the Welcome Address. Professor (Dr.) Sibaji Pratim Basu, Honourable Vice-Chancellor of
Vidyasagar University, Midnapore; Dr. Pradipta Mukherjee, Assistant Professor of HMM College for Women
and Dr. Pratik Ghosh, Director-Secretary of Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya, Barrackpore delivered their
lectures as the Main Speakers in this Webinar. Smt. Sujata Mitra, Assistant Director of Field Outreach

A National Webinar on ‘Remembering Mahatma: Redefining the Nation’ was

Corpus Research Institute (CRI) - a well-known Academic Body for all practitioners of History, which was founded in 1996 by the History Alumni of Jadavpur University, organized a day-long Seminar on 'Practicing History on the basis of Folk Education' at Jodhpur Park, Kolkata on April 8, 2021.
The Deccan Archaeological and Cultural Research Institute in collaboration with PANASH Organization, Delhi organized a 8 days online National Level Short term course of ‘Archaeology And Museums Heritage of India’ from 10th to 17th January, 2021 which was dedicated to the conservation and preservation of India’s cultural, natural, living, tangible and intangible heritage.
Bengal Library Association, Kolkata organized a Webinar on the occasion of the 73rd Death Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30, 2021. As part of the series of Talks on Celebrating 150 Years of the Mahatma, the Regional Outreach Bureau, Kolkata organized a virtual lecture on Gandhi and Khadi. The video lecture of the Director-Secretary of the Sangrahalaya in the aspects of Mahatma Gandhi and his iconic Khadi, the hand spun textile was published in the youtube channel of ROB, Kolkata on October 20, 2020.
