Rules and Regulations

1. Library Hours:

The library will remain open from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. daily excepting Wednesday.

2. Library Membership:

a) The Charges of amount of ₹ 50 per annum has to be diposited as membership fees.

b) Library card is not transferable in any condition.

c) During submission of the application form for library membership the applicant has to attach a recent passport size photograph and photocopy of his/ her photo identity proof and another stamp size photograph have to be submitted.

d) Membership Card can be renewed for a further period, if necessary. A fresh letter of introduction may be required for such a renewal.

e) In case of loss or damage of library membership card, a duplicate library card will be issued with the payment of ₹ 20.

3. General:

a) The Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya Library has no lending faciliies of books.

b) One user will be allowed maximum two [2] books for reading purpose at a time, and after returning that he/ she can demand other books.

c) No user will be allowed to enter the stack room area of the library without the permission of the librarian.

d) The user will be held responsible for any damage or loss of library materials in their possession.

4. Facilities for Photocopy:

The facility of photocopies of some selected books are available to the members of the library following the library rules. The users may be allowed to copy only one-third portion of a book with prior permission of the Librarian. Delivery of photocopies will require minimum two (2) days from issueing the order by the users.

Rate (Black and White) of photocopy for A4 size paper = ₹1.50/- per page

for Legal size paper = ₹2/- per page

or A3 size paper = ₹3/- per page

5. Facilities for Internet:

a) Internet surfing hours between 11.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (excepting Wednesday).

b) Internet surfing facility are available to the members of the library only.

c) The users will not to be permitted to use:

Ø Playing games

Ø Facebook or any other social networking site

Ø Any other obsence or obnoxious website

Ø Installing/ downloading any kind of software

d) Library members can have the opportunity to copy the necessary files(s) in their own devices (CDs/ pen drives) with the prior permission of the Librarian.

e) Using charges of Internet in the Library is Rs. 10/- per hour.
